In this Information Age and the millienial generation, what do kids need to view writing as important enough to become good at it... Really great at it?? What is your classroom action plan for how you will immerse students into writing given the CCSS standards. What are avenues that schools will pursue to bring EVERY teacher on board as a teacher of writing? I received lots of great ideas today and several things that I feel need to be in every teacher's had in regards to writing instruction-- what are some of your ideas? What are your long term plans for the year? In looking at PARCC and the standards, have you committed to teaching writing, in some aspect, everyday? Give me your thoughts and ideas...
