Good Morning!

I saw this helpful information and thought I would share with each of you!

The third annual National Anthem simultaneous sing-a-long will take place on September 11, 2015. At precisely 12 noon CST, students nationwide will sing the National Anthem in unity. This will conclude a year-long celebration of the 200th birthday of the Star-Spangled Banner as well.
The American Public Education Foundation will provide free resources for History, Geography, Music and English teachers. There will also be information about holding an event and how to participate. Teachers can sign up at www.theapef.org.
Events can be 5-30 minutes long. Schools can invite their mayors, police chiefs or American Legion members to participate.

Have a great Wednesday!

Happy Friday! First Week Successfully Completed!

Good Morning,

Well, I hope everyone has had a successful first week of school and that you are finding your routine and schedules are settling down for everyone! I don't know about you but this morning I actually felt a little bit of fall in the air! Whoo Hoo! I have uploaded a training resource this morning in regards to Response to Intervention ~ check it out and see if you could use this as a professional development session! Have a great weekend!

Product DescriptionThis resource is a must have for giving a solid description of the three tiers of instruction. It is full of infographics that aid in the explanation for a refresher session on each tier. The training slides progress from the programs, methodologies, and strategies that we specifically use at tier one to ensure high quality instruction to the intensiveness of tier III and the possibility of progressing to a child-study through the MET team. Next, an in-depth look is given to tier two and specific strategies that help to intervene in specific deficits. Then, a look at tier III is investigated and discussed. This training is meant to take the participant through each tier looking at strategies, decision-making skills, and timelines for best practice. This training can be used in a focused faculty meeting, a professional development session, or in a smaller professional learning community as a specific focus group strengthens their process in Response to Intervention!
